Interested in reducing carbon emissions and taking action against climate change? Want to learn more about soil, compost, and proper gardening technique? This weekend come and experience our very first compost workshop! There will be free giveaways and fun hands-on activities for you to learn and grow! Community Consciousness and the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center are partnering up to develop Orange County's first large scale compost system. The Education Center is opening up their doors to the local community so everyone can dispose of their food waste in a safe and eco-friendly manner! We will be gratefully accepting donations which can earn you a personal compost bin. The idea is this: we give you a compost bin, you fill it up with kitchen food waste, when the bin is full you can now bring it up to our facilities for us to process into beautiful, nutrient dense compost that will work toward replenishing our earth!
